It has been reported that PET recycled plastic bottles can be infinitely renewable.

PET recycled plastic can be used for making clothing, motorcycle helmets, fishing lines, and packing ropes, or it can be used in food packaging to save resources. Many developed countries have developed recyclable and renewable plastic packaging technology, with PET chips used in food packaging as early as 1991. The excellent barrier characteristic makes PET an ideal food and beverage packaging material for such products as carbonated drinks, fruit juice, milk and dairy products, tea drinks, mineral water and much more.

In Beijing metropolitan area, the annual amount of discarded PET plastic bottles has reached a total of 150 thousand tons, approximately 6 billion bottles, which has severely impacted the environment. Alongside the breakthrough in the development of renewable PET chip technology, renewable food-grade PET chips can be used directly in food packaging, thereby achieving 100% recyclability.

In China, all current PET plastic bottles are made of PET raw material refined from petroleum, consuming more than 18 million tons of petroleum each year per 3 million tons of PET plastic bottles produced, which has also imposed a tremendous pressure upon the environment. The reuse of PET recycled plastic bottles can help conserve resources.
