Transparent categories: Solvay PESU and PPSU have superior performance, and thermal resistance without BPA content. Eastmancopolyesters and cellulose acetate are high in chemical resistance and have a wide range of models to select.

In production of plastic like PVC,adding plasticizersuch as phthalate,DOP (DEHP) and DINP, may change its hardness. In First Foundation, New Matresins are free of phthalate, either on the finished goods level or the ingredients level.

Bisphenol A (BPA, a chemical which may disturb hormone in human body) is a monomer for the production of polycarbonate(PC). PEI and PSU also contain BPA. However, the general plastics, such as Eastman copolyester, BASF nylon, PolyplasticsPOM and Solvay PES, PPSU do not use or add bisphenol Ain the raw material. NewMat engineering plastics produced by First Foundation, such as toughened PMMA, toughened Nylon and toughened POM, are all free of BPA.

Eastman’s copolyester is transparent, glossy and highly chemical resistant. You can use it for different methods, such as injection molding, blow molding and extrusion processing.

PMMA has the highest transparency and hardness and one of the bestbase color. However, it has the worst impactresistance. It does not containBPA and transparent ABS (TABS/CABS) for a relatively lower transparency than other materials. Nevertheless, it can be applied in a wide range of ways that are free of BPA.

PC has the highest impactand thermal resistance. However, it contains BPA.

TRITAN has a high thermal resistance and a better impactresistance than PMMA. It also has the best chemical resistance and does not contain BPA.

PES/PPSU has a yellowish base color. Its performances and even the price are higher than other plastics while being free of BPA.
